Labogene - Mars Series

Quiet

The main function of a safety cabinet is to protect the user from hazardous substances. To do this, air is sucked in through the work opening on the front, but this also creates noise. However, thanks to 40 years of engineering experience, Labogene workbenches are particularly low in noise and vibration without compromising safety, user protection, work material or the environment. This is achieved through a combination of several factors, such as a well thought-out aerodynamic interior design, precise digital monitoring and constant control of the operating status. An on-off automatic is available as an option for the Mars model family, which further reduces the noise level in idle mode.

Individual & Innovative

We can offer you a customised safety workbench, e.g. the workbench can be equipped with an anti-blowback valve for connection to the external ventilation in the laboratory. A variety of designs are available to meet your individual needs.

Mars safety cabinets use the latest innovative energy-efficient fans and optimised airflows, which contribute to lower energy consumption and a reduction in noise levels.
Lower energy consumption also results in less heat transfer, both to the work chamber and to the laboratory environment, which contributes significantly to lowering overall energy costs.

LaboGene focuses on four benefits that are built into the Mars family of Class 2 safety cabinets as standard:

- Operator and environmental safety
- Ergonomic design
- Energy efficiency
- Noise reduction

By focusing on all of these aspects, we have created optimal solutions for customers who want to create the best working environment for their employees while increasing efficiency, improving safety and leaving a "greener footprint".

Mars Safety workbench

Class 2 microbiological safety cabinets are laboratory workstations specially designed for working with microbial substances and offer a high level of protection. The safety cabinets' HEPA dual filter system filters 99.999 % of all particles with a size of 0.3 micrometres to prevent the spread of microorganisms. The noise level of the safety cabinets is relatively low at 43 dBa and contributes to a more pleasant working environment. The decontamination programme option allows the workbench to be cleaned and disinfected after work to ensure that no microbial residue remains.

Class 2 biological safety cabinets - Mars

The Mars Series is a range of double-filtered Class 2 safety cabinets that combine the latest laminator technology, energy-saving designs and HEPA filtration to provide options that offer the best protection for you, your products and your laboratory.

The Mars safety cabinet sets the standard for quality, design and innovation, backed by 40 years of experience. Inventors of the first electrically operated sloping front screen in the late 1990s, the Labogene engineering team is constantly pushing the boundaries of energy saving design concepts and the overall development of our workbenches.

How it works

The airflow enters the work area of the biological safety cabinet through the front opening and continues under the worktop and through the rear plenum, where 70% is recirculated through the main HEPA filter to provide downward airflow and 30% flows out through the HEPA filter to the outlet.

The vertical laminar circulation of the airflow provides operator protection through the inflow, product protection through the downward airflow and environmental protection through the filtered outlet.

The Mars Class 2 is the safety cabinet of choice when working with microbiological samples, tissue culture, viral work, non-pathogenic manipulations, IVF, research and sampling procedures.

Available in four different working widths
900 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm or 1800 mm.
Mars safety cabinets are manufactured and tested according to EN 12469.

All models are available with a wide range of high quality customised options to suit your personal needs or requirements.

Mars Pro safety cabinet

The Mars Pro is a range of triple-filtered Class II workbenches that combine the latest laminator technology, energy-saving designs and construction with HEPA filtration to provide ultimate protection for you, your products and your laboratory. A range of options are available to tailor the basic models to your exact requirements.

Class 2 biological safety cabinets - Mars Pro

The safety cabinet is equipped with a HEPA triple filter and double air filtration to ensure high air quality. The primary HEPA filter of the safety cabinet can be changed under the work surface to simplify operation and facilitate maintenance. The safety cabinet has been specifically designed to handle cytotoxins and viruses, providing a high level of protection when working with these microbial agents.

How it works

The air flows into the work area of the biological safety cabinet through the front opening and continues under the worktop and through the rear plenum, where 70% is recirculated through the two main HEPA filters to provide downward airflow, while 30% flows out through the HEPA filter to the outlet. The vertical laminar circulation of the airflow provides operator protection through the inflow, product protection through the downward airflow and environmental protection through the filtered outflow.
The triple HEPA filter system ensures that any possible cross-contamination is eliminated. The air in the work area must pass through two main HEPA filters.

This makes the Mars Pro the ideal workbench for working with hazardous materials such as cytostatics, virus manipulation and category 3 pathogens.

Available in four different working widths
900 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm or 1800 mm.

The Mars Pro workbenches are manufactured and tested according to EN 12469. All these models are available with a wide range of high quality customised options to suit your personal needs or requirements.
