Cryo tubes, PP, sterile, Designed for storage and preservation of biological material, human and animal cells, at very low temperatures in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen or in cryogenic freezers. Made of very clear polypropylene by fully automated machinery. The very smooth polished inner wall ensures low liquid retention and minimal sample loss. Autoclavable at 121°C for 20 minutes. Caps should not be kept closed during the autoclaving process, otherwise tubes may become deformed. The cryotubes are manufactured in class 10 000 aseptic production areas and then re-sterilised with gamma rays. The tubes are supplied with a certificate that they are „DNase-, RNase- and pyrogen-free“. As both cap and tubes are made of the same material with the same coefficient of expansion, a secure seal is guaranteed at all temperatures. The caps are equipped with recesses for different coloured cap inserts, which allow easy identification of the tube contents. The internal design ensures a hermetic and leak-proof seal. The silicone washer in the cap ensures a positive seal at any temperature and prevents leakage. The caps can be closed and opened with one hand. A 3/4 turn of the cap is sufficient for complete closure. The special foot design allows free standing. The foot design allows the tube to be held firmly in cryo-ampoule racks. Tube caps can be opened with one hand. There are two versions to choose from: Tubes with external thread caps, tubes with internal thread caps cryo tubes-2.0 ml-skirted-external thread
