Centrisart I is a ready-to-use unit for centrifugal ultrafiltration of small samples to separate proteins from low molecular weight substances in biological samples. Centrisart I embodies a unique design: ultrafiltration against centrifugal force. This principle prevents premature membrane blocking so effectively that even whole blood samples can be deproteinised. Centrisart I can be used in swing-out rotors or fixed-angle rotors for 15 ml standard tubes. Ultrafiltration of 90% of the original sample is typically completed in about 30 minutes. The ultrafiltrate is collected inside the float tube and can be easily removed without having to take out the tube. Separation of proteins from biological samples is a critical step for e.g. drug binding studies or determination of metabolites in serum. Countercentrifugal ultrafiltration Separation of proteins from biological samples, even whole blood Fast and easy recovery of protein-free ultrafiltrate Wide range of MWCO Typical applications include drug binding studies Determination of metabolites in serum Protein removal from blood samples Performance characteristics Time to filter 50% of sample volume Time to filter 90% of sample volume Passage of sample volume BSA 1.0 mg/ml (66. 000 MW) 5.000 MWCO 300 min. n/a 0 % 10.000 MWCO 35 min. 80 min. 2 % 20.000 MWCO 9 min. 20 min. 2 % IgG 0,25 mg/ml (160.000 MW) 100.000 MWCO 13 min. 35 min. 3 % Blaudextran 0.1 mg/ml (2,000,000 MW) 300,000 MWCO 9 min. 25 min. 28 % Centrisart I, 20K MWCO, 0.62cm², 12/Pac, Centrisart® I Centrifugal Ultrafiltrati
