DURAN® Centrifuge tube, pointed base 30°, 25 ml, Ø 16 x 100 mm One of the most important basic process engineering methods is the separation of mixtures of substances. This working method includes centrifugation, which exploits the concept of mass inertia. A mixture of substances to be separated is filled into centrifuge tubes, placed in a centrifuge and set in rotation. Due to the high speed of rotation, heavier particles are pushed outwards faster and further than the lighter ones. In this way, a separation of substances is achieved based on the mass or density of the individual substance components. Special features and advantages: Very resistant to mechanical stress Due to the pointed bottom, even small quantities of solids can be easily collected and separated The angle of 30° enables the detection of small quantities of solids Application: Centrifuging, separation of different particles due to different mass inertia (density), separation of substances by utilising the centrifugal force DURAN® Centrifuge Tube with conical bottom 30°.
