DURAN® protect GLS 80® laboratory bottle, wide neck, brown, plastic coated, with screw cap and pouring ring, PP, blue, 500 mL The DURAN® GLS 80® wide neck laboratory bottles are made of high purity, clear USP / EP type I borosilicate glass 3.3, which is known for its excellent thermal behaviour and high resistance to chemical influences. The wider opening allows easier bottle access for larger samples or materials such as granules, powders or viscous liquids. The safety-coated version of the bottles combines the best of both worlds: virtually inert USP / EP Type I borosilicate 3.3 glass on the inside and a protective safety plastic coating on the outside. The bottles are moulded from high purity amber glass, which is then coated with a clear PU plastic coating to reduce the risk of glass breakage and liquid splashes in the event of breakage. The brown colouring ensures that light-sensitive contents are protected from the effects of photodegradation. The bottles feature an easy-to-read graduated volume scale and a durable white enamel labelling field. The permanently printed batch identifier („Retrace Code“) on each bottle guarantees full traceability of manufacture. The brown DURAN® GLS 80® wide-neck laboratory bottles are supplied complete with or without the familiar blue polypropylene cap and drip-free pouring ring for use up to 140 °C. The plastic jacket meets the requirements of ASTM E1522 and is fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C.
