DURAN® stopcock with PTFE spindle, for threaded connections The PTFE spindle stopcock is used for the airtight closure of a desiccator. For this purpose the spindle cock is connected to the desiccator lid via the standard ground joint of the desiccator lid. The very small, punctual opening in the lower part of the spindle cock allows a slow inflow of gases or air when the valve is opened and thus reduces a strong turbulence inside the desiccator.
