The models of the KERN ORM series are precise, universal, maintenance-free digital handheld refractometers;They are characterised by their ease of use and robustness;Thanks to their compact design, they are suitable for convenient, quick everyday use;The large, clearly legible display with integrated temperature indicator supports the user in reliably determining the measured value;The integrated automatic temperature compensation (ATC) enables a simple, quick working method, as no manual conversion of the measurement result is necessary;Quick, user-friendly calibration of the refractometer is possible at any time using commercially available distilled water;The refractometers of the KERN ORM series are protected against dust and splash water to international protection class IP65. You can rinse the refractometer under running water after use;Average-value measurements possible;Included in the scope of delivery:;- prism cover;- pipette;- storage box;- 1 × AAA battery;- operating manual;This model is particularly suitable for determining the sugar content of unfermented beer wort. With the original-gravity (specific gravity) and degrees-Plato scales, the value can be read directly without conversion. Brix or the refractive index can also be displayed as an alternative;
