Note: the SET-01 Base program is required for this set;KERN EasyTouch Safety provides a direct overview of the metrological status of all relevant scales, with active checks shown in green and failed checks in red;When it is important to know whether a particular scale may be used as measuring equipment, or when it must be ensured that a scale is always in proper metrological condition, KERN EasyTouch Safety provides a range of tools to ensure this reliability;Checkpoint function – checkpoints: this function allows defined checkpoints to be specified for each compatible KERN scale. These always refer to a specific nominal load (e.g. 100.0 g). One or more checkpoints can be defined per scale. On request, the system automatically proposes calculated checkpoints. A specific permitted tolerance can be entered for each checkpoint, i.e. a lower and upper tolerance limit can be defined;Checkpoint function – time interval: this function allows specific time intervals to be defined for each scale after which a mandatory check of the defined checkpoints must be carried out. For example, several checks per day at specified times or one check per week can be defined, e.g. daily at 8 a.m.;Checkpoint function – test weights: this function allows specific test weights to be assigned to the respective checkpoints. By storing specific test weights, the user can be instructed which test weight is to be used for which checkpoint. During selection, the system automatically ensures that only test weights whose permitted OIML tolerance is smaller than the permitted tolerance of the respective checkpoint can be selected;Checkpoint function – calibrated test weights: this allows possible calibration data for the entered test weights to be stored: a calibration interval, the date of the last calibration and the conventional mass of the test weight from the last calibration;Checkpoint function – test and consequences: this function allows a scale for which the checkpoint function is activated to be used fully as long as all checkpoint tests are successful. If a test is failed, the scale is locked, i.e. no further data from this scale can be stored or printed. A test is deemed failed if the display at one or more checkpoints is outside the permitted tolerance, or if the calibration intervals of one or more test weights have expired and have not been renewed. If the conventional mass of one or more test weights is found to be outside the permitted OIML tolerance, the system requests replacement of these weights at the relevant checkpoints;Adjustment check: this allows an individual adjustment interval to be assigned to each scale according to risk assessment. KERN EasyTouch Safety prompts the user in good time to adjust the scale. If the user does not carry out the adjustment, storage of weighing results is blocked;Unlocking a scale after it has been locked: this option is available to a specific user group (e.g. laboratory administrator) after the relevant test has been carried out with a positive result;Temporary postponement of pending tests can be permitted by an administrator setting, but only for a maximum of 30 minutes after the due time in order to ensure orderly completion of a work process;Minimum-weight check: this function allows an individual minimum weight to be stored manually for each scale. If the determined weight is below this value, the scale remains locked;Minimum piece-counting weight: the 'Minimum Piece Weight' function allows a minimum permitted reference weight per piece to be defined for each scale. This prevents unsuitable scales from being used to count very light parts. Background: if the resolution is too high or accuracy insufficient, relevant counting errors and shortages can occur. The defined minimum piece weight is assigned to the respective scale. If a counting operation is below this limit, it is not performed; instead, an appropriate error message appears on the display. Note: if the Minimum Piece Weight function is activated in SET-11 Safety, it applies to all counting functions within EasyTouch, i.e. to all sets with a counting function;Calibration and verification check: this function allows a verification deadline and a calibration deadline to be created and managed for each scale. If the deadline expires without calibration or verification being renewed, the scale remains locked;Leveling check: this function allows a visual check of the device leveling to be required for each scale. The user is prompted at specified times to confirm correct leveling of the scale. If no positive confirmation is given, the scale remains locked;ISO log: the ISO log can be selected for each active scale. It outputs the exact condition of the scale at the time of printing. In this log, the user has an immediate overview of the verification and calibration status of the scale, the latest checkpoint tests, the individual minimum load and the most recent leveling check;Options;Central Save Server data-storage function (SET-10) for additional storage of all measurement data in a central local server directory. The measurement data from all weighing systems connected via EasyTouch and from all installed EasyTouch functions are stored here. Especially for users with multiple weighing systems, this provides the advantage of consolidating all weighing data in a single database and searching individual measurement data from different scales in only one table. Save Server data storage is also tamper-proof and immutable;License information;License scope: one license can be operated on one terminal device (PC, laptop, Android tablet);Users: an unlimited number of users can be created within one license;Scales: any number of scales can be created and operated within one license;Scale-to-terminal communication: the scale(s) can communicate with the PC, laptop or tablet via serial connection, USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet or Wi-Fi;
