This thermocouple (TE) temperature probe with penetration tip can be used for measurements in pasty and semi-solid media as well as for measurements in liquids and air. The temperature probe has a thin ribbon cable of 2 metres length. The thin ribbon cable can also be laid through narrow openings such as door slots or refrigerator seals. With protection class IP54, the temperature sensor with piercing tip is protected against splash water. This thermocouple sensor of type K and class 1 has a standardised accuracy of ±1.5 °C. The response time t99 (time until the sensor indicates 99% of the temperature jump) of the temperature sensor of 7 seconds refers to measurements in moving water at +60 °C. This response time is prolonged if, for example, the temperature is too high.
