Particle size distribution of solids and suspensions of all kinds can be measured by dry or wet sieving with woven test sieves. The ANALYSETTE 3 SPARTAN can also be converted to a micro mill for fine comminution of dry laboratory samples or solids in suspension and for homogenising emulsions or pastes. Mode of operation In the classical sense, the ANALYSETTE 3 is a „throw screening machine“ in which an electromagnetic drive sets the sieves in a vertical oscillating motion. The material to be sieved is periodically thrown upwards by the sieve mesh and, as it falls, is driven through the meshes of the attached test sieves.
