BeefSteaker meat sampler for manually cutting out a piece of tissue for microbiological sampling of carcass surfaces. The drill bit is screwed in by hand. Meat sampler for bacteriological sampling of carcass surfaces. Slaughterhouses (abattoirs, butchers etc.) are obliged to carry out regular microbiological examinations of carcasses, e.g. cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and horses, as part of operational process control and to monitor slaughter hygiene. The carcass samplers are similar to a cork borer. They can be used to take a circular tissue sample of 5 cm² from the surface using the punching method (destructive method), also called the cork borer or excision method. After cutting out, the punch sample is removed from the carcass using a scalpel and tweezers. The sample drills can also be used for other sampling purposes, including histology, medicine, food and beverage, dairies, agriculture. The sharp stainless steel cutting edge makes it easy to cut out the sample pieces. A hole in the crown prevents air compression and serves to eject the samples. The samplers can be sterilised without any problems, e.g. by flaming or steam sterilisation. For sampling according to DIN EN ISO 17604:2015-12 Cutting surface 25 mm Ø BeefSteaker, V2A, Ø 25mm
