DURAN® Desiccator Base, MOBILEX Type, thread outlet (GL 32), with flat flange DURAN® Desiccator Base, MOBILEX Type, thread outlet (GL 32), with flat flange The DURAN® Desiccator is a laboratory vessel suitable for vacuum with a ground-glass lid, which is used for storing moisture-sensitive substances and for drying moist products. Separated by a sieve plate (made of metal or porcelain), a drying agent is introduced into the lower part of the desiccator base, which binds the moisture of the substance to be dried, placed on the sieve plate. To accelerate the drying process, a vacuum can be connected if necessary, as the liquid evaporates more quickly due to a lower pressure in the desiccator. The vacuum is applied via a stopcock connection. To make it easier to loosen the lid, the face of the desiccator must be well greased, as the lid is pressed onto the lower part after evacuation. All DURAN® desiccators are vacuum-proof, i.e. they can be used up to the technically maximum possible vacuum. Special features and advantages: Tight seal due to standard ground joint Suitable for all lid types With ring groove flange Application: Ideal for removing moisture from solids, Storage of moisture-sensitive materials over long periods, For applications requiring vacuum drying, Drying of materials, Safe working under vacuum DURAN® Desiccator Base, with ring-grooved flange, suitable for all types of lids.
