Question about item
Extraction unit with sample holder Complete unit (L5030901) consisting of: - Wide-necked stand-up bottle acc. to DIN 500 ml with standard ground joint (L5030901F) - Lid plug with threaded connection for sample chamber (L5030901S) - Height-adjustable sample chamber made of glass with gas-permeable bottom (L5030901P) - For sample material up to max. approx. 25 mm - Other sizes on request The extraction bottle is used in experiments and analyses where samples are to be exposed to a controlled atmosphere. Depending on the sample, a suitable solvent can be used for long-term extraction. The sample is placed in the sample holder, attached to the lid plug and hung in the bottle filled with solvent. Due to the gas-permeable bottom, the sample material can be easily reached by the solvent vapours. The sample material or solvent is then analysed. The bottle method is an extraction method that is used to determine the formaldehyde content according to DIN EN 717-3:1996-05 of wood-based materials. This method is also known as WKI method, Raffael method, modified bottle test method or hermetic container method. Extraction bottle 500 ml Determination of the formaldehyde content DIN EN 717-3
