Sartopore 2 150 are ready-to-use, individually sterile packed capsules, for small and medium volume filtration. Sartopore 2 150 feature a hydrophilic, double-layer membrane made of polyethersulfone with exceptionally high flow rates and lifetimes, broad chemical compatibility and extremely low extractables. Sartopore 2 150 capsules are made of the identical materials and constructed according to the same design principle as all other Sartopore 2 filter elements. Therefore, they are ideal for scale-up and scale-down experiments. The polyethersulfone membrane is compatible in a pH range from 1 to 14, making Sartopore 2 filter elements ideal for filtration of high or low pH solutions. Sartopore 2 150 capsules, due to their unique design and the asymmetric pore structure of the polyethersulfone membrane, have excellent flow rates and service life, especially when compared to conventional flat filters. Sartopore 2 150 capsules are available with 2 different pore sizes 0.45 µm 0.2 µm and 0.2 µm 0.1 µm. Sartopore 2 150 capsules are designed, developed and manufactured in accordance with an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Each individual filter element is batch tested for integrity. Validation documentation is available in accordance with regulatory requirements. Sartopore® 2 150 capsules meet the requirements of the WFI quality standards set forth in the current USP, including toxicity testing in accordance with the USP plastic Class VI test and for extractables. Performance: The uniquely pleated filter design combined with a highly asymmetric pore structure of the polyehtersulfone membrane yields excellent flow rates and an exceptionally high total flow capacity, especially when compared to conventional layered filters. Easy to use: Sartopore® 2 150 capsules are available for easy installation into any filtration system with the following connections: Tube olive, 4 inch NPT thread or 1 inch Tri-Clamp connection. The Tri-Clamp connection ensures reliable integrity testing. Automatic Venting: A hydrophobic PTFE membrane at the highest point „upstream“ allows easy venting of the capsule and prevents product loss during venting. Scale Up: The same materials as well as the same construction method as any other Sartopore® 2 filter element ensure that Satropore® 2 150 is ideal for use in pharmaceutical R&D laboratories. Filtrations can be performed with extremely low volumes of high quality products. Microbiological retention: Sartopore® 2 150 capsules have been validated as sterile filters in accordance with HIMA and ASTM F-838-05 specifications. Quality control: Each individual element is tested for integrity to meet the highest quality standards. Documentation: Sartopore® 2 150 capsules are developed and produced according to a DIN ISO 9001 certified quality management system.
