Vivacell 100 is a disposable ultrafiltration unit for concentrating samples up to 98 ml, which can be used either in a centrifuge or for pressure filtration. Vivacell 100 thus combines the ease of use of centrifugation units with the flexibility and controllability of pressurised units. Vivacell 100 is easy to assemble, requires no tubing connections or agitators and can be adapted to the available equipment and user-specific requirements. For easiest handling, the units are centrifuged in a large centrifuge (carrier accept 250 ml bottles). For better process control or for handling individual samples, gas pressure can be combined with gentle, orbital shaking. To greatly simplify operation, the pressurised unit can also be left on a laboratory bench or in a refrigerator. The concentrator features a vertical membrane that minimises sedimentation, while the built-in deadstop of 350 µl prevents dry running Easy handling High flow rates due to PES membranes Vertical membrane for fast concentration Sample recovery in concentrate > 90% Very flexible in use Compatible with swing-out rotors Vivacell 100 Polyethersulfones with polypropylene concentrator attachment Performance features Typical performance data Benöted time by up to 30x [min. ] at 20°C to concentrate Solute recovery % 90 ml starting volume in centrifuge 2. 000 g as pressure cell 4 bar (58 psi) swing-out rotor no agitation orbital motion BSA 1.0 mg/ml (66,000 MW) 5,000 MWCO PES 22 75 25 96 % 10,000 MWCO PES 16 60 20 96 % 30,000 MWCO PES 16 60 20 94 % IgG 0.25 mg/ml (160,000 MW) 50,000 MWCO PES 20 70 30 94 % 100. 000 MWCO PES 20 85 30 90 % latex gel 0.004 % in DMEM + 10 % FCS (0.055 μm) 300,000 MWCO PES 35 - 120 99 % latex gel 0.004 % in DMEM + 10 % FCS (0.24 μm) 1. 000,000 MWCO* PES 4 5 4 99 % 2,000 g in centrifuge, 2 bar (29 psi) pressure VIVACELL 100 1,000,000 MWCO PES,2/BOX, Vivacell 100, 1,000,000 MWCO PES, 2pc
