DURAN® filter disc, fused glass rim, Ø 50 mm, porosity 2 The DURAN® filter disc is made of high-quality borosilicate glass. Apart from the glass, the medium only comes into chemical contact with PTFE. This means that the filtration unit can be used almost universally with regard to the chemicals to be filtered. Due to the PTFE plate holder, glass filters with different porosities can be used in addition to the slotted sieve plate. Due to the available porosities of glass filters (10 ?m – 160 ?m), analytical filtrations can be carried out in addition to coarse and fine filtrations. The DURAN® filtration unit is suitable for filtration and purification of aqueous and organic solutions as well as for particle contamination analysis or for the preparation of HPLC media. Special features and advantages: Almost universally applicable, as the medium only comes into contact with glass and PTFE The scaled receiver vessel facilitates dosing and evaluation Due to the PTFE plate holder, porous glass plates with different porosities can be used in addition to the slotted sieve plate. Easy and quick cleaning from both sides due to exchangeable filter plates and PTFE adapter. The proven DURAN® suction flask and PTFE olive (suitable for tubing with ID 8 mm) allow safe work in the laboratory The exchangeable plates and the PTFE adapter in conjunction with the clamp allow the porosities to be changed quickly or the filters used to be replaced quickly Easy-to-read scale with line graduation for measuring the contents Baked-on and therefore permanently durable white printed image Application: Coarse and fine filtrations, filtration at reduced pressure, preparation of HPLC media, residue analysis, analytical filtration, purification of aqueous and organic solutions , particle contamination analysis, investigation of bacterial contamination, Uniform heating is recommended to avoid thermal stress and resulting fractures. Heat glass filter devices with plate diameters greater than 20 mm only in non-preheated ovens or sterilisers. The heating or cooling rate must not exceed 8 °C/min. When filtering hot substances, observe the thermal shock resistance and preheat the filtration devices in a drying oven if necessary. Slowly heat up wet filtration units to + 80 °C and allow to dry for one hour before increasing the temperature further. All components are also available as spare parts.
