Stainless steel ion exchanger cartridge filled with softening resin for the production of softened water. The pressure vessel of the ion exchanger cartridge is made of 1.4571 stainless steel, just like the distribution system. The ion exchanger cartridge has 2 3/4'' threaded connections for supply and removal. The LEYCO softening ion exchange resin consists of a strongly acidic cation exchange resin (Na+) and produces softened water. The dissolved alkaline earth metals calcium and magnesium, which are mainly responsible for the hardness of the water, are removed in the process. When hard water flows through the exchanger, the cations Ca2+ and Mg2+ displace the positively charged Na+ ions that are mobile in the ion exchanger resin. The ion exchange resin used is characterised by a high exchange capacity, good resistance and mechanical strength.
