ST-Dry Pearls Orange is a synthetically produced, highly porous amorphous silica gel in the form of hard, somewhat opalescent grains. ST-Dry Pearls Orange contain an environmentally friendly colour indicator so that the dry pearls change colour from orange to green with increasing water absorption. ST-Dry Beads Orange offer electronic components and devices as well as optical components reliable protection against moisture during storage and shipping. The 2 to 5 mm beads can be easily packed in bags, tins, trays, buckets, etc. according to need and purpose, making them suitable for use anywhere. As soon as the ST dry beads have absorbed a certain amount of moisture, they change colour from orange to green: 0 % orange 8 % yellow-brown (at 20°C, 20 % relative humidity, min.) 20 % brown-green (at 20°C, 50 % relative humidity, min.) 30 % green (at 20°C, 90 % relative humidity, min.) ) Typical properties of ST dry beads Orange uniform bead shape (bead diameter over 80% 2 to 5 mm) good mechanical strength (low abrasion) particularly high adsorption capacity long service life good regenerability (regeneration in oven at +100°C to +140°C (max. ) for max. 3 hours) free of cobalt chloride Bulk density: 750 +/- 30 kg/cbm Specific surface area: approx. 690 sqm/g Pore volume: approx. 0.4 ml/g Nominal pore diameter: 25 A SiO2 content: 99.7 % Indicator content: 0.09 % ST-Dry Pearls Orange are equally suitable for commercial and private use. Other areas of application and possible uses Dehumidifiers, packaging, transport packaging, drying of walls, screed, carpets and furniture, home and hobby supplies, camping, sports equipment, boats/yachts and many more.
