The gelLITE complements our range of gel and chemiluminescence documentation systems with an economical and effective solution for agarose gel imaging. The manually controlled camera zoom and focus gives the user full control over their imaging, and the intuitive genePIX acquisition software enables a fast and efficient workflow. A 302nm UV transilluminator enables imaging of large format agarose gels or stained protein gels up to 20 x 20 cm. The UV transilluminator also slides out of the main body of the system and enables gel extraction of DNA fragments. A 3-megapixel camera provides excellent low light sensitivity for clear resolution of closely spaced DNA bands and ensures that even low levels of fluorescence are detected. The included genePIX acquisition software uses application-based workflows to simplify gel imaging. The geneQUANT analysis software provides automated lane and band detection, preloaded DNA ladder standards for easy quantification and automated report generation to document perfect results in a GLP environment.
